Similar to child day care, respite care is for caregivers or families who need to take a break from care giving to children with autism, ADHD / ADD, cancer, cerebral palsy and other chronic or life-threatening illnesses.
Many national organizations offer day care respite centers, at home respite care and weekend respite camps. Other organizations such as hospice provide respite care as well. We hope some of these organizations can help you
