Broward Children's Center - Coastal Kids Respite Care
Offers three kinds of respite services: In-Center Respite, providing medical management in a residential placement for medically complex, ventilator-assisted, physically challenged, or developmentally delayed youngsters for periods of 24 hours to three months. Parents who qualify may receive services at no cost; others may pay on a sliding fee scale. Short-Term In-Home Respite, providing care directly in the home for children from birth to twenty-one years of age. There is no cost to families who meet program criteria; others may receive services on a sliding fee scale. In-Home Respite Workers, trained and experienced individuals who re able to provide medical management and/or medical follow-along while caring for a child in his or her own home.
